Chinese through Music

Well, after 2.5 years in China, and 2 years without proper Chinese studies, I decided to have a comeback and learn some Chinese through Chinese songs. On February 1st, just 5 days before the Chinese new year, we went to the Karaoke with Meijob, JiPingMi and Bitstorm team. After the 2nd attempt to sing Lan Lian Hua in Chinese, while holding a piece of paper in pin yin, I decided to set up an ambitios goal and the next time I am in karaoke with my Chinese friends to be able to sing at least 5 songs without a piece of paper. The first step was to ask Jason for 2 GB of excellent Chinese music. He also showed me some functions in Baidu to search for the lyrics. The 2nd was to ask Alex for proper Chinese tools to translate the songs. Alex gave me two tools :

www.adsotrans.com (advanced options http://adsotrans.com/advanced.html) that was developed by his friend and the more important one…

1- click “MDBG free online Chinese-English dictionary

     2-  click “翻译 Translate

These tools will enable me the following:

1. Translate the characters to English.

2. Translate the characters to pin yin.

3. Build a vocabulary using the songs. This week will be dedicated to follow all the procedures on Lan lian Hua…
